an experience that brings people together to challenge and spark a new, collective narrative

(re)Designing Sustainability

After a sold-out first edition in June, Futures & Sustainability returns to Tolhuistuin this autumn! This second edition is an interactive and immersive evening where bold thinkers and engaged participants come together to reimagine sustainability through the lens of futures literacy.

We face rapidly mounting pressures from issues from the climate crisis to economic uncertainty.

This event is an opportunity to pause, reimagine, and build resilience by exploring Futures Literacy—a tool that moves us beyond short-term fixes and compliance-driven strategies toward meaningful, long-term transformation.

What you will experience

Move from reactive sustainability actions towards new, forward-thinking strategies.

Meaningful Exchange

Collective Ambition

"Many in the sustainability community carry deep questions about the impact of their work. To me, it felt like everyone who came to the event was seeking an answer.

The combination of sensorial experience, group play, and powerful storytelling created a space where those questions could be explored - not necessarily resolved, but witnessed, shared, and reimagined together."

“This event feels like a new league on its own. I left energized, inspired, and full of fresh ideas. The space that Darina Elencheva and Alba Tiley curated was deeply thoughtful—inviting real conversations, envisioning new futures, and a sense of collective momentum.

It wasn’t just talk; it was a meaningful push toward reimagining what sustainability can truly become.”
