What role can the creative industries play in designing a new future?
On November 20, during the We Are Warming Up Festival, Futures & Sustainability and Creatives for the Climate bring together designers, makers, storytellers and futures thinkers in Amsterdam. Together we explore how culture shapes the images of the future we carry, the lifestyles we aspire to, and the stories that make change feel possible.
The room brings together people from across the creative industries, alongside voices from design, foresight, impact and business. This mix is intentional: new images of the future emerge through difference, not sameness.
This is an invitation to step back from the brief and the deadline and ask a larger question: what futures does our work make more likely? It is a chance to explore creativity as a force for aspiration rather than just communication, and to connect with others who believe the way we imagine is part of how we change.
